Surf’s Up!!
With 30 to 60 MPH winds, I just had to go down to the pier on my lunch break to see what these crazy winds were doing to Lake Michigan. It was quite a show. 18–20 ft waves! Here are a couple shots: The lighthouse getting soaked and observe the two guys in wetsuits [...]
Fall Fun– Robinette’s and Rockford
The first Sunday of autumn was sunny and beautiful! We took the opportunity to head to Robinette’s for some fresh cider (right out of the press!) and still-warm donuts (yum!). Then it was off to Rockford to see the sights during their Harvest Fest! Hope your weekend was great!
It’s Friday!!
The weekend is here! It’s adventure time! To start the weekend off on the right foot, Kevin and I went for a walk in the direction of our favorite walking destination, the Village Cone Shop. As soon as we rounded the bend, my heart sank a little. There was no line wrapped around the building. [...]
Weekend Highlights
Kevin’s 26.2 Celebration! This weekend, Kevin was officially 26.2 years old. I know. I counted. For all of you not up on your running stats, 26.2 miles is the distance of a marathon. & Then It Was Friday
Friday is here! We’ve made it! Between having Monday off for Memorial Day and Wednesday off for Kevin’s Grandpa’s Memorial Mass, I only had a three-day work week. So, why am I so exhausted?? Must be all the traveling, parties, birthdays, guests, and out-of-the-ordinary stuff that’s been going on around here. I absolutely cannot believe [...]
Our Trip to the Great Up North
In honor of the long Labor Day weekend, and in the spirit of the Great American Road Trip, we put aside some time to let go of work and travel to the Great Up North. It was kind of a whirlwind trip, but sometimes those are the best. You get there, do/see/eat/buy what you want, [...]
Happy Labor(-free) Day!
