Hello There, Thursday
Just got back from getting ice cream at Jersey Junction! Now it’s time to do a bit of catching up. The fantastic thing about having a short week is that the rest of it seems to fly by. The bad thing is that it’s Thursday, and I am only now finally getting around to posting about the reason we had Monday off! Insert wedding bells here. Kevin’s Dad and Rita got married!
The ceremony started at 2 and was over by 2:10. It really was the fastest ceremony ever! Serious commitment, not to be entered into lightly. Do you? Do you? Rings. Kiss. Sign here. And done!

Look at all those Neuma-Neuma Neumanns!
One of the perks to being married at the Court House, a police van standing at the ready for unruly guests. (Another was the metal detector… never know when a guest is going to show up with brass knuckles!)
The ceremony was immediately followed by a lunner (If breakfast/lunch=brunch, then lunch/dinner must = lunner) at Noto’s. Noto’s actually opened early for the occasion, and we had the place to ourselves. Everything was fabulous as usual. Appetizers were Noto’s Homemade Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli in a Walnut Cream Sauce and Cheese & Sausage Encroute (Italian Sausage and Homemade Mozzarella baked into bread). Then came the bread baskets and salads- Caesar Salad and Spinach Salad. This was followed by two types of pasta- Farfalle with a Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce and Penne Primavera Alfredo. Then came the main entrees- Chicken Piccata and Pork Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and veggies. All those options and the ravioli was the only overlap from the last time we were there (and not totally the same because it was in a different sauce)! I’m beginning to think I like just about everything on Noto’s menu. Though I’m going to reserve judgment and refrain from saying all in case there is escargot or eel or something equally bizarre.
The happy couple shows off the new hardware and cuts the cake
Mark’s toast, and would you believe these two are NOT related?!
Rita’s sister and Jeff’s sister-in-law… twins separated at birth?
